Making homemade croutons is so easy and a great way to use up day old bread. They taste so much better than store bought, too and are a perfect addition to salad, soups and more.
Bake the cubes for about 20 minutes at 375°F, tossing every 5 minutes or so until the homemade croutons are toasty and golden brown.

Ingredient Notes:We prefer firm breads like sourdough or French bread but sandwich bread works too! Whole wheat sandwich bread is tasty also.We buy the store brand versions of most everything to save money and the flavor is just as delicious!Buy Parmesan cheese in bulk and grate it yourself using a food processor (affiliate link). It will store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or in the freezer up to 3 months. Storage TipsHomemade croutons can be made ahead and stored in a cool, dark pantry for up to 5 days. I haven’t really frozen them, but you could given it a try!
