To make things go even quicker when we want to prepare this smoothie, we like to make smoothie kits! How to Make a Smoothie Kit for the FreezerMaking a smoothie kit is so easy and helps shave off a little bit of time when you’re ready to blend it up! To do so, use a quart size bag to add the frozen fruit, peanut butter, plain yogurt and ground flax seed. You will add the milk the day of preparation.Be sure to label and date the bag with its contents. I have also used SouperCubes (affiliate link) to make our kits. To do so, I like to spread some of the yogurt in the bottom of the cube space so that the chunkier ingredients have something to freeze to. Then I’ll spread peanut butter over the top to help it all stay together. To use the frozen kit, just add it to the blender jar, add the milk and blend. Depending on how powerful your blender is, you might want to let the frozen fruit sit for 5 or so minutes so that it’s not quite so hard on the blender’s motor.Making Popsicles From SmoothiesAnother way to make these smoothies freezer friendly is by turning extra smoothie into popsicles. We love these fun, silicone popsicle molds (affiliate link) as they are just the perfect size for an easy and nutritious snack!
