Weekly Menu Plan- Meal Planning Service ideas and more! [1/21/14]

Menu Plan Monday ideas

These long weekends always throw me off on posting my weekly menu plan! And this week was especially challenging because my original plans have had to be totally redone because of a few after school activities that have come up for my kids. No worries, I’ve got it covered now! I know it’s Tuesday but I still used the Menu Plan Monday graphic because it’s fun.

I’m playing around a bit more with the Plan To Eat program and so far, I’m liking it. It would be nice if I could import my actual calendar into the program instead of having to switch back and forth to figure out what kind of commitments we have but not a super big deal. And that may be a feature I’ve yet to discover. I’m also planning to review another service, eMeals. It’s a bit different in that you can sign up to subscribe to a variety of meal plans and then each week you will receive recipes and a shopping list. This might be a great alternative if you are stuck sometimes finding recipes. There are all kinds of plans including: Clean Eating, Low Fat, Paleo, Gluten-Free, Portion Control and more! There are even options to subscribe to Breakfast , Lunch and Dessert plans, too!

Stay tuned for more details on my reviews as I continue to experiment with the services. Are there any in particular you’ve wondered about? Let me know and I’ll try to check them out!

So let’s get to the weekly menu plan for this week for our family (Monday through Wednesdays meals are from Dream Dinners):
Monday: Charhouse Chicken Sandwichs on a Pretzel Bun and Carrot sticks (yes, this was on the menu plan last week but we ended up just having leftovers since we had so much from earlier in the week)
Tuesday: Golden Mushroom Porkchops, mashed potatoes and garden salad
Wednesday: TexMex BBQ Turkey Wraps with sautéed bell peppers (on sale this week at Kroger!) and onions
Thursday: Popcorn crusted chicken, roasted broccoli and roasted rosemary potato fries. I read about the popcorn crusted chicken online a couple of weeks ago and want to try to figure it out–sounds interesting!
Friday: Leftovers
Saturday: Out to Eat
Sunday: Leftovers

So what’s on your menu plan this week? Share in the comments below and hopefully that will inspire others with new ideas too!

I haven’t found a service that works for us. We eat plant-based and there are loads of food allergies in our family so I always do my own. I’ve created Meal Plans for a few of my readers too. I’ve declared this week “Meal Planning” week on my blog and I’m talking about it all week. I’m excited to have found your site today.
