A Little Blogging Vacation

Here’s the thing about blogging and being a writer. I have tons of ideas in my head and never enough time to write them all down it seems. Summertime has thrown me for a real loop with the kids out of school and my online time dramatically decreased (and no smart phone for checking things on the go—probably a good thing for me!) Plus, I want to take advantage of the time that my kids are out of school so we can go do fun things together. School will be starting again before we know it (in just a little less than six weeks for us–what!?!?

So I’m taking a little blog vacation. But I’m not going to leave you entirely. Since I’ve got a lot of new readers lately (thank you!) I’m going to be doing a Best Of Meal Planning Magic series. My blog is over two years old and I’ve written about all sorts of things in that time! Lots of those posts are hidden in the blog black hole (i.e. there for you to find, but sometimes you have to dig pretty far or know what search terms to use).

I’ll do a few extra posts here and there but otherwise sit back and enjoy some oldie but goodies–hopefully you’ll learn something new along the way! I’m also working on getting a few guests posts thrown in there too for you!

Come this fall I’ll have more regular features like a return of the Cookbook Reviews, Breakfast Challenge ideas, Eating the Alphabet, real organizing tips and strategies and much more. And a little blog cosmetic work is in order too. Lots of my plate I realize (no pun intended) but I’m hoping to get to it all! My other goal is to have the posts written ahead of time so I can catch all those sneaky typos and occasional run-on sentences that happen when I write late at night. Pro bono editors are welcome.

So keep checking the blog for the Best of series the rest of this summer, some guest posts and occasional extras thrown in. Come September I’ll be back in action with gusto (I hope!) Have any suggestions of what you’d like to see on my blog? Just email me at mealmagic (at) gmail (dot) com!

I second the need for a vacation from blogging. Mine's a little more hapazard. But I think all parents are busy running around making some memories with their kids right now so it's all good!
