What I love about Food Network’s Semi-Homeade Cooking With Sandra Lee is that every time I watch the show the recipes look so delicious but more importantly they look really doable. Nothing too fancy or exotic ingredients here. Sandra’s philosophy is to use 70% ready-made and 30% fresh ingredients to create meals that look and taste great!
And if you live in Texas like I do, grilling outside is pretty much a year-round option. This book has some really yummy looking meals. How does Cuban Mojo Pork Sandwiches or Margarita Chicken sound? She’s even included desserts you can cook on the grill like Skillet Cherry Cobbler or Kahlua S’more Pie…how cool is that? Now don’t worry if you got your first snowfall back in September and think you need to shelve this book until summer. Every recipe includes an Indoor Method section so you can make up your meal in the oven or on the stovetop. Grillmaster here I come!
