The Kids’ Holiday Baking Book {Cookbook Review}

I stumbled upon this book at the library and thought it looked really neat! I was right. After reading it at home I discovered not only a great cookbook for kids (with yummy sounding and easy , doable recipes), but s little holiday history lesson too. What I especially like is how the author precedes each section with a brief (about two pages for each) history lesson and also how she celebrated relevant holidays as a child or knew of families that celebrated.

A wide variety of holidays are included with those “expected” holidays like New Year’s Day, Christmas, Chanukah, Easter and Halloween. But others like Purim, Rosh Hashanah, Ramadan, Kwanzaa, St. Patrick’s Day or Cinco de Mayo are also included (among many others!) Fun recipes to try are Peter Rabbit’s Carrot Pudding, Monster Cupcakes, Cookie Lover’s Rugelach or Banana Blast Nog. There are just too many to list here. This book is definitely worth checking out!
